Queen Mary of the United Kingdom's Delhi Durbar Tiara

Creation: This tiara was made by Garrard in 1911 as part of the parure made for the Delhi Durbar in India. It used diamonds from the Diamond Loop Tiara. Originally, ten of the Cambridge emeralds were set in detachable mounts on the top of this tiara but they were permanently removed in 1922 for use in the Vladimir Tiara. In 1912, the tiara was adapted to use either or both the Cullinan III & IV and sometime before 1946 slight alterations were made to the center and top border of the tiara.

Creation:  This tiara was made in 1831 by Rundell, Bridge, & Co. using diamonds removed from jewellery previously belonging to King George III and Queen Charlotte.  It was originally created as a necklace and was converted into a tiara for Queen Victoria.  The following queens have changed it back and forth with it most recently being used as a necklace.
