Duchess of Portland's Diamond Tiara

Creation:  This tiara was made by Cartier in 1902 using diamonds supplied by the Duke of Portland.  The large diamond clusters at the top were later removed.

Materials: diamonds set in gold

Provenance:

  1. Winifred Cavendish-Bentinck, Duchess of Portland
  2. Ivy Cavendish-Bentinck, Duchess of Portland; inherited from her mother-in-law in 1954
  3. Lady Anne Cavendish-Bentinck; inherited from her mother in 1982
  4. William Parente; inherited from his aunt in 2008, on display at the Harley Gallery on the Welbeck Estate

Questions:
  • Are there any pictures of Lady Anne or William Parente's wife wearing the tiara?
